PFAD is not boiler fuel: how it differs from PKS and chopped EFB
PFAD is palm fatty acid distillate from the palm-oil refine stream. It is industrial feedstock. It is not yard fuel like PKS, chopped EFB, or palm fiber.
Do not treat PFAD as PKFAD. PKFAD comes from the kernel-oil stream. The short names look alike; origin and handling do not. Neither belongs on a biomass RFQ.
A power-plant enquiry names the solid fuel, moisture, and plant gate. A fatty-acid enquiry names PFAD or PKFAD, lot size, and the liquid receiving point.
If the search started as “what is PFAD”, use a sourcing brief for oil products and a fuel brief for the boiler. The glossary page is not a purchase order.
Admine Energy sources biomass fuels and palm fatty acids as separate jobs after the product is named.
