What is EFB? Empty fruit bunch as biomass fuel

ParameterTypical specification
Net calorific valueAbove 1,700 kcal/kg
MoistureMax 55% by weight

Figures from Admine product specs used in supply talks — not a lab certificate for every lot.

EFB (empty fruit bunch) remains after fruit is stripped in crude palm oil milling. It is used as biomass fuel where plants accept high moisture and have enough yard space.

Admine briefs calorific value above 1,700 kcal/kg and moisture max 55% by weight for whole EFB. Actual lots vary with mill and rain—sample on receipt.

Whole bunches are easier to dump but harder to feed; chopped EFB shortens pieces for many screw and belt systems.
