A chopped EFB supplier should state chopped versus whole on the offer. A single line that says only “EFB” is not enough to compare sellers.
Lock the moisture cap the hopper will accept. Admine briefs calorific value above 1,700 kcal/kg and moisture max 50% by weight. Chopping does not dry the fuel.
Ask weekly volume, a backup mill when the origin slows, and whether the truck type fits the plant gate. Wet cargo from the south eats payload.
Use two or three trial loads. Record moisture, piece size, and bridging at the screw before scaling the monthly band.
